When I was in my mid 20's married no kids but 2 dogs and a cat no body could keep. I had a good job but part time and had to work more hours when my ex couldn't find work or even when he was working. And when it came to bills, vet or otherwise, I paid off the vet as each appointment was made for their shots, the cats cold who went into convulsions and freaked me out. She was ok then went dead come out of it and our vet was so good I rushed her to him crying. She had a high tempature and she got valium to bring it done. And the puppy who he brought home that ended up sick. He got angry at me and said let the bill get higher they can afford to wait. Well, that was not the way I was raised. I didn't dare ask the vet can I pay a little. If I had the money bills got paid or we did without. That was decades ago...

I hope you can somehow recoup some losses

Thank you, the problem is the specialists did not make payment plans so we had to pay them and we did every penny we had. so now we are in a bad spot.

I am sorry for the loss of your pets and I know they are like children to those of us that don't have any children.

I am done with my calls for the day. There are places that will help in emergencies for pets. dog and cats who face life threatening illness. 

I have seen them on my searches but it has to be life threatening illness before they help out. I was lucky when Sunny went into kidney failure that Volunteers of America pick up his IV and week stay at the vets as I couldn't have paid for it. I have paid a lot in vet bills for Sunny on my own but not near that amount. I am so sorry. Talk to the vet make payment plans and see ricardo dogI know what it is like to lose a pet, I have lost many due to old age or one I had to put to sleep which really hurt.

You can check my blog but this man had some advice and so does Suze Orman.com about paying off bills and which one effects your credit rating. Those vets need to work with you !!!
